Attention Junior High and High School Students: LOCKERS
Students should note that beginning TODAY, those students who do not have a lock (even if their locker is empty) will receive a demerit for each day their locker is missing its lock. Furthermore, students whose locks are not properly securing their locker, such as locks with a thin metal bar, will also receive a demerit for each day their locker is not secured.
Extended Care
Please let parents know that if they are interested in extended care for their children after school hours, Extended Care forms are available. The fee is $5.00 per day for MCS students and $10.00 per day for non-MCS students. Pick up and submit Extended Care forms in the Business Office.
Parent Representatives
The Parent-Teacher Organization will begin forming this year, starting with Parent Representatives for each homeroom. Homeroom teachers should solicit nominations or volunteers from parents, guardians, and families for representatives for their respective homeroom classes. Please turn in names of parent representatives to Mr. G by this Friday, August 29.
Any Ideas for School Service Hours?
Are you noticing a problem with the school’s facilities or grounds? Ms. Ida is seeking ideas for projects students can work on during School Service Hour (detention). You can create a list or submit a single idea. Examples are things like dusting the stairwells, strapping gum, pulling vines/weeds, etc. Simply place your ideas into her mailbox. Thank you.
Service Hour Schedule
School Service Hour is every Tuesday & Thursday after school at 3:15-4:15 pm. Students who voluntarily participate will receive a community service hour and merit. Interested students need to get a parental permission slip from Ms. Ida and return the completed slip on the day they participate. Help fix up the school and earn community service hours and merits for your efforts!
