Mount Carmel School’s recent graduates Jedric Nathaniel Cruz Villar, Hyunkyu Park, Jeremiah Jerome Hernandez Diaz, and Larry Dean T. Cruz gained admission to each of their respective colleges for their undergraduate education.
Attending Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey is Mount Carmel School 2022 graduate Jedric Nathaniel Cruz Villar who aims to earn a degree in filmmaking starting this Fall. “I chose Montclair State University due to its diverse population and film studies programs. Montclair State University is well known for its notable alumni like Bruce Willis, Allen Ginsberg, and Lorene Scafaria. As an aspiring filmmaker, I felt that MSU would help set the foundation for a career in film.”
Mount Carmel Schol AlumKnight Hyunkyu Park intends to pursue his undergraduate degree at the New York University in New York. While his major is currently undecided, Hyunkyu looks forward to the opportunities NYU has to offer to help him declare an official path of study.
“Located in the heart of New York City, NYU provides abundant intern opportunities and practical experience by utilizing the urban attribute of the city. Living in a city with great resources, I look forward to having an enriched education, Hyunkyu shared.”
Incoming collegiate athlete set to attend Park University is MCS AlumKnight Jeremiah Jerome Hernandez Diaz. After many years of devotion to soccer in the NMI, Jeremiah joins a small community of NMI athletes who have earned the opportunity to play a division-level sport with a significant scholarship. Pursuing a degree in business management, Jeremiah aims to succeed as both an athlete and a working professional.
“It has always been a goal of mine to play as a collegiate athlete with a significant scholarship to cover the cost of my college tuition. Not only did the scholarship solidify my choice, but so did my future coaches and teammates who continue to be very open and communicative. I look forward to studying for my degree and playing as a division-level athlete from the NMI.”
Pursuing a degree in pre-science is MCS graduate Larry Dean Tenorio Cruz who is set to attend Seattle University in Seattle, Washington. “I chose Seattle University because it strikes a balance between new experiences and a small, tight-knit community. I know I’ll eventually feel right at home in their diverse, yet small population.”
