Mount Carmel offers a variety of elective courses for a student to partake in. This allows the student to grow in different skills that are an important aspect of life. 

Available Courses:

Creative Writing- Ms. Randee-Jo Manglona
-Encourages students to move beyond their usual styles and topics of writing to communicate clearly, express themselves, develop innovative skills, and become more empathetic. Students of this course will both examine and create pose and poetry. Students will analyze, understand, and seek inspiration from the work of other authors so they can begin to recognize who they are as writers. By the end of the course, students will become poets, story tellers, non-fiction writers, script writers, or even song writers. 

Media Communications-  Ms. Victoria Deleon Guerrero
-Introduction to Media and Communications challenges students to achieve the schools first and sixth Expected School-wide Learning Results (ESLR): Communicate effectively using various methods and mediums, and develop continually as an independent lifelong learner. By the end of this course, student's will be able to list and distinguish between different mediums and types of communication; identify and define the different purposes for communication; explain how psychology, sociology, and theories of rhetoric affect communications; evaluate diverse sources of communication for their effectiveness; operate various technology to design and deliver communications, and utilize diverse mediums to create effective communications. 
 

Senior Seminar- Ms. Tobed Smith
-Mount Carmel's Senior Seminar aims to prepare high school students for life during and after high school by intriducing students to curriculum that will help them become competitive and successful in both academic and employment worlds. Along the way, students will be encouraged to and guided to pursue their interests and explore careers that not only match those interests but are also meaningful and fulfilling. 

Student/ Office Aid- Ms. Leeani Villagomez
-Being a student aid not only encourages but challenges a student to be indepedent in making decisons that should positively affect both the people around him/her or themselves, Helping in the office or the classroom is just one of the many tasks a teacher aid must do. They should be able to adapt in different environments and situations while accepting tasks that are given, enthusiastically.
