ONE (1) Middle School Teacher
ONE (1) Elementary School Teacher
Duties/Responsibilities:
To provide classroom instruction at the grade level(s) and in the subject area(s) assigned. To maintain accurate and complete records of each student's academic progress. To submit daily student attendance reports. To submit weekly lesson plans for the next week's instruction. To supervise students during break time, lunch, and after school while students wait for their transportation, and during any planned after-school activities. To assist with student supervision at school-related co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. To perform the duties assigned satisfactorily and maintain a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning. To support the Catholic Identity of the school by attendance at religious functions. To begin each class period with a prayer. To teach in harmony with the philosophy and Expected Schoolwide Learning Results (ESLRs) and in conformity with the rules and regulations stated in the School Handbook. To attend and participate in parent/teacher organization meetings. To attend and participate in faculty meetings during and after school hours, and in other professional development meetings as might be called by the school administration. To perform all other duties relating to the school's operation that may be assigned by the Vice Principal/Principal.
Minimum Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in education or related field (foreign equivalence is acceptable).
Additional Qualifications:
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, including giving and receiving feedback; awareness of and sensitivity to cultural issues and local community practices; awareness of best practices to meet the needs of individual learners; ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team; knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and assessment; knowledge of human behavior and performance, individual differences in ability/personality/interests, and learning and motivation.
