"Sound of Music" Photospread
The MCS Theater Club has produced yet another hit production after 25 years! The cast and crew of the Sound of Music saw their months worth of work come to fruition on January 26 and 28 in the Taga Hall at World Resort.
SOM_MV_01: Captain George Von Trapp, played by Manuel Pangelinan, and Maria Rainer, played by Bernice Sabino, share a heartfelt moment on stage.
SOM_MV_02: Max Detweiler, portrayed by longtime Theater Club member Brent Ortizo, expresses that he “likes the way he lives when he lives with rich people.”
SOM_MV_03: Liesel, portrayed by senior Tessie Rose Schweiger, seeks advice from her new governess, Maria Rainer, portrayed by Bernice Sabino.
SOM_MV_04: Sabino shows off her excellent singing and acting skills as she yodels in a scene featuring the song “The Lonely Goatherd”.
SOM_MV_05: Liesl Von Trapp, portrayed by Tessie Schweiger, and Jared Terlaje, as Rolf Gruber, grapple with Liesl’s impressionable age as they perform “Sixteen Going on Seventeen.”
SOM_MV_06: Maria Rainer, played by Bernice Sabino, calls on the Lord for guidance as she faces challenges.
SOM_MV_07: The Nonnberg Abbey nuns sing “Morning Hymn/Alleluia” to open “The Sound of Music.”
SOM_MV_08: Bernice Sabino pretends to strum a guitar as she teaches the Von Trapp children the ABCs of singing in “Do-Re-Mi”.
SOM_MV_09: The Von Trapp children are called to attention by their father, Captain George Von Trapp, played by Manuel Pangelinan.
