On Friday, August 21, 2020, Mount Carmel School’s Concert Band held its first virtual concert led by band director Mr. Julian Greening. Throughout the Summer, Greening worked closely with students in Mount Carmel School’s Concert Band and their families to coordinate and edit the concert.

On Monday, August 17, 2020, Mount Carmel School began its 2020-2021 School Year remotely through online learning. As Mount Carmel School prepares to begin face-to-face classes on August 31, 2020, the school has also begun offering more tech support for students and parents. In particular, two teachers, Filmah Buenaflor and Randee-Jo Barcinas-Manglona, will provide parents and students with direct support.
Mount Carmel School is set to begin online classes on Monday, August 17, 2020. The school was originally scheduled to begin its hybrid course schedule on August 6, 2020, but due to a delay in shipment of safety equipment MCS decided to postpone the start of face-to-face classes until August 31, 2020, pending Governor Ralph DLG. Torres’s issuance of guidelines for face-to-face classes.
On Friday, July 31, 2020, Mount Carmel School held graduation ceremonies for its kindergarten and eighth-grade graduates. To ensure proper safety measures were followed prior to the event, Mount Carmel administrators worked closely with the Governor’s COVID-19 Task Force, the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation (CHCC), and the Diocese of Chalan Kanoa to keep all participants safe.
