Mount Carmel School's Student Council (STUCO) is responsible for organizing activities, which build school pride, spirit, and unity. STUCO, acting as the voice of the student body, provides a channel through which ideas from students in all grades can be expressed and shared.

Celebrating Unity & Diversity

The STUCO team advocates for the well rounded development of all students. Throughout our term, we plan to emphasize the theme of “Celebrating Unity & Diversity,” as we believe all students are special in their own way, and that should be showcased and acknowledged within their own school.

1. Fostering Inclusion

   Students need to have a sense of belonging at school. They need to feel comfortable and understand that school is a safe place. STUCO plans to promote inclusion through breaking the grade/age barrier by allowing grade levels to come together in unity. 

2. Embracing Individuality

   Each student deserves the right to feel and be their authentic selves. STUCO hopes to afford students greater opportunities for self-expression at school.

3. Preparing Socially-Aware Individuals

   STUCO works to promote social awareness throughout each student. It is important that each student understand the challenges faced by different people within our community and be empowered to respond so as to be a proactive and engaged member of society.

October 26, 2022: Pink Day - In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, students, faculty and staff are encouraged to wear the color pink to show support for individuals and families who have been impacted by this cancer. 

October 24-28, 2022: National Principals Month Observation - Knights are encouraged to show gratitude and honor our Principal, Mrs. Filmah Buenaflor. Grades 7-12 are welcome to sponsor particular days to show their appreciation.

October 29, 2022: Halloween Festival - The MCS Student Council invites the school and local community to experience the Knight Halloween Festival! 

November 18, 2022: Mixed Grades Pep Rally - Students will particpate in a shuffled Pep Rally that allows them to learn new skills, form friendships and connections, and most importantly, have fun!
